  • While several public transportation entities existed before it, King County Metro has been operating in the region for over half a century. In that time, the agency has consolidated, reorganized and changed logos numerous times.
  • We like to think of this hat as a sort of "greatest hits" Metro brand compilation. On the front are the logos used from the 70s through the early 90s: the sun and flower. If you look closely, you can see that the sun logo is actually composed of several M's stylized to look like rays of light. The flower logo, for its part, neatly symbolizes togetherness.
  • On the cap's left panel is Metro's current logo, honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Created in 2007, the county changed its namesake and logo to honor the civil rights leader instead of a slave-owning monster. This logo is now used for all of the county's projects, including public transportation.
  • On the right is our logo, and the back features the slogan "We'll Get You There," which was used by the agency until just recently.
  • Embroidered in Seattle, 100% cotton. One size fits all.
