  • The RT1 was City Light's electric car prototype intended for use in Seattle's downtown. Created by Everett industrial designer Robert E. Haggard (who had previously worked for Ray and Charles Eames), the RT1 was an ultra-efficient people-mover that would be provided to Seattleites to drive around a downtown completely restricted to cars.
  • Suffice it to say, this restricted zone never came to fruition, and the RT1 never saw production. Yet we can help but marvel at this vision of our city—a metropolis balancing a modernist, cosmopolitan urban ideal with preserving a unique natural setting.
  • Each tote features an initial sketch of the RT1 with City Light's slogan at the time.
  • 100% cotton canvas, made in USA.
