Pioneer Square gallery owner Greg Kucera had an expansive collection of sex-themed art, and understandably wanted to show it off during an Art Walk. He placed a racy Japanese woodcut on the cover of that month's gallery guide, but was called by an Oregon post office claiming they couldn't send them out. Why? A nipple. Greg had the great idea of asking the post office to place "CENSORED" stamps on each copy. The mystery, scandal and intrigue resulted in one of the best attended Art Walks in history.
  • You are a work of art. A censored one at that.
